Sharpeville Mohloli secondary school has the best soccer team in Gauteng province, despite veing from an impoverished area with little or no facilities. Siphiwe Vilakazi is one of the stars of the team, but beofre a match against a rivl school he had to walk across the township trying to borrow a pair of boots to play in as his brother had to use the family pair of boots. May 7 2010. The match was played in the shadow of the George Thabe stadium where Cote Ivoire will practice during the World Cup, but the locals play on a sand field, strewn with rocks.
